Voice Actor Ben Starr Says It’s ‘Absolutely Criminal’ There’s No Official Bloodborne 60 FPS Patch

Ben Starr, a prolific voice actor who is probably best known for his work in Final Fantasy XVI, has apparently thrown shade at Sony while on stage at the Golden Joystick Awards last night for still not delivering on a Bloodborne 60 FPS patch.

“It’s absolutely criminal that we don’t have an official version of Bloodborne running at 60 frames per second,” said Starr, which prompted some noticeable sounds from the crowd.

Note that he specifically mentions ‘official version’ as while Sony hasn’t released a patch, we have already seen the game running at 60 FPS before. You may recall that model Lance McDonald last year posted a video on YouTube of Bloodborne running at 60 FPS in 1080p with “no upscaling or interpolation.”

Bloodborne was released for the PS4 back in early 2015 but is still not able to run at 60 FPS on Sony’s latest hardware. Fans have been requesting an official patch for years now, although Sony continues to remain silent on the topic and it isn’t known why the format holder is so reluctant to do something about it.
