Gearbox has reportedly cancelled the unannounced Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands 2, according to a report on MP1st.
The project was apparently shelved in recent months and comes amidst layoffs at Lost Boys Interactive, the studio that worked alongside Gearbox to develop the original game. Furthermore, back in February it was reported by Kotaku that Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands 2 had been subjected to a ‘soft reboot.’

Elsewhere, the ArtStation for an artist at Lost Boys Interactive lists the sequel as ‘unpublished’ on their profile, which presumably means it has been cancelled. In addition, the LInkedIn profile for a former staff member at the developer reveals that they had been working on a scrapped project, which is believed to be Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands 2. This is due to the fact the skillset mentions Unreal Engine 4, the same engine that the game was supposedly running on back when it was leaked, and the profile mentions an ‘Unannounced Project (Cancelled).’
Nothing official has been announced yet, but the evidence above does not paint a rosy picture for the sequel. In related news, Gearbox’s Randy Pitchford stated back in August that he wanted major DLC for Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, but the team couldn’t spare resources due to Borderlands 4.
