Stop the presses! Everyone’s favourite purple fire-breather is hitting Game Pass tomorrow.
Microsoft, who owns Spyro the Dragon following its acquisition of Activision Blizzard, made the announcement shortly after its official Game Pass X account posted an image of a Spyro chest with the caption, “Hey uhh, who left this chest here?”
It didn’t take long for Microsoft to make it official, revealing that the excellent Spyro The Dragon: Reignited Trilogy will hit Game Pass and Game Pass PC tomorrow, November 12.
There was a rumour earlier this year claiming that Spyro and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 would hit the subscription service. At the time, it was claimed that Crash Bandicoot would join Game Pass. That came to pass fairly quickly. At the same time, the insider said Spyro and Tony Hawk would also be joining Game Pass “soon.”
The Spyro: Reignited Trilogy was developed by the talented team at Toys for Bob, which earlier this year managed to spin off from Microsoft, becoming independent. Despite this, Microsoft and Toys for Bob are still working together, with the team’s next game being published by their former owners. It has been heavily speculated that Toys for Bob’s next game will be a new entry in the Spyro series.
