PUBG Mobile update 3.4 patch notes – Vampires, Werewolves, and a Dracula boss battle

Published:

Looks like Halloween is arriving early in PUBG Mobile, with the 3.4 update bringing vampires, werewolves, and even Dracula in the newest themed mode, Bloodmoon Awakening.

Available as of Sept. 9, PUBG Mobile version 3.4 lets players transform into winged vampires or hulking werewolves for a more hands-on approach. Alongside the spooky new maps and gameplay mechanics in the themed mode, the update also comes with a few non-spooky new content as well—here’s what to expect in the latest PUBG Mobile patch.

What’s new in PUBG Mobile update 3.4?

Bloodmoon Awakening themed mode

The main feature in PUBG Mobile‘s 3.4 update is the Bloodmoon Awakening themed mode, which introduces new maps and the ability to transform into a werewolf or vampire with special items. Wolf Salve turns players into Wolf Warriors with increased movement speed, terrain mobility, and a team buff. Blood Oath Extract will turn players into a Vampiric Fiend, which gives the ability to fly, absorb health from eliminated enemies, an area-of-effect debuff bomb, and a landing strike that damages and knocks back enemies.

The mode also comes with two appropriately themed maps: Crimson Castle and Wolf Settlement. Both maps cycle through day and night and have unique mechanics that yield extra rewards for players, mostly involving puzzle-solving or battling your way to special areas.

Players can also take a crack at defeating Dracula if they find a Crimson Crystal. Using it opens a rift to Dracula’s boss room, where you can fight through two phases and earn extra crate rewards.

Finally, Bloodmoon Awakening comes with a horse as a new “two-seater animal vehicle” to go with the gothic or ancient aesthetics of the new maps. The horse can jump, swim, and automatically follow nearby allies. Players can also fire from horseback.

Classic mode updates

Classic mode also comes with a few new additions in Update 3.4. The first is the Dual MP7, a pair of pistols that uses 9mm ammo and has good mobility as well as a high fire rate in exchange for being unable to aim down the sights.

There’s also a new four-seater vehicle, the Hovercraft. It operates like an amphibious lightweight tank that can turn in place and has armored glass that protects the occupants, but prevents mounted fire from inside as well.

Additionally, Classic mode now has a self-AED that opens the possibility for players to stabilize if given the opportunity. It spawns on the ground in solo, duo, and squad matches, and having one in your inventory prevents elimination even when all four members are knocked down.

Other updates and features

The Halloween-themed PUBG Mobile Update 3.4 also comes with a collection of other features and additions, including but not limited to:

  • The ability to transform into a Wolf Warrior or Vampiric Fiend in Metro Royale’s Zombie Uprising mode and World of Wonder.
  • The Maple Courtyard Palace series of new Home items and a new Home event with extra rewards.
  • Adjustments to matchmaking in WOW, including multi-queue matching as well as the ability to matchmake by language.

There are also multiple miscellaneous UI and system updates across the board—you can find the full PUBG Mobile patch notes from Sept. 11 on the official page here.
