PS Plus Extra and Premium December 2024 games lineup is being rolled out by region, and fan response to the catalog refresh has been fairly positive, for a change. Headlining this month’s Extra lineup are Sonic Frontiers and Forspoken. Premium classics went live earlier this month, but PSVR 2’s Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge will be joining the service today.
What PS Plus members are saying about December 2024’s games lineup
Both Sonic Frontiers and PS5 console exclusive Forspoken launched to a mixed reception, with the latter getting panned more than the former. Ironically, we’ve spotted numerous comments across gaming forums and social media in which fans expressed their delight at finally seeing both games in the catalog.
“Forspoken and Sonic Frontiers: two games I’ve wanted to try but didn’t want to risk buying and regretting,” said one subscriber. “I’m ironically excited to try Forspoken,” wrote another. “Maybe people will finally realize that Forspoken isn’t actually the worst game ever made,” said a third.
The general consensus is that being able to play controversial games for free alongside gems like F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch makes for a decent lineup.
The complete list of games going live today is as follows:
- Sonic Frontiers
- Forspoken
- Rabbids: Party of Legends
- WRC Generations
- F.I.S.T.: Forged in Shadow Tech
- Jurassic World Evolution 2
- Coffee Talk
- Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly
- A Space for the Unbound
- PHOGS
- Biped
- Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge (Premium)
