The physical version of Minecraft PS5 is launching on October 22, 2024, and is now available for preorder. Furthermore, it comes packaged with $20 worth of in-game currency, which means you get a tidy sum of 3,500 tokens.
Minecraft’s physic edition will set you back $30, so it’s not a bad deal at all when you factor in the aforementioned currency bonus. The PS5 version of Minecraft offers a wealth of improvements over previous iterations of the popular title, including support for 4K resolution and 60 FPS.

Those of you who already own Minecraft on PS4 will be entitled to a free upgrade to the digital version of the PS5 game, so keep that in mind. Its a pretty big year for Minecraft as a whole, as the game celebrates its 15th anniversary this year, and Mojang has confirmed plans to shake up its roadmap by releasing free content updates across the year.
Looking ahead, we have the Minecraft movie adaptation due out in 2025, which features Jason Momoa, Jack Black, and Emma Myers. Unfortunately, next year also marks the end of PSVR support for Minecraft.
