Konami Showcases Deep-Dive Into Silent Hill 2 Remake With An Extended Gameplay Reveal, Pre-Orders Are Now Live

Published:

While we’ve seen gameplay from Bloober Team’s upcoming Silent Hill 2 Remake, much of what we’ve seen has made it look like an action game, more than a psychological horror game.

Immediately following the May 2024 State Of Play where the release date for the coming remake was revealed, we got an entirely Silent Hill 2 Remake-focused direct from Konami and Bloober Team, and an extended look at how this remake is honoring the psychological horror side of the game.

The gameplay shown is a huge look a an earlier section of the game, followed by a chat with members of the development team at Bloober.

You can check out the gameplay below.

Konami also announced that pre-orders are now live on the PlayStation Store, ahead of its October release date.

Hearing from the development team, and getting to see a much more slowed down, horror-focused look at the coming Remake feels like exactly the kind of thing it needed leading up to its release.

At the end of the showcase it was also confirmed that there will be more of these “Transmission” events, so there will be even more to look forward to before October arrives.
