There may be life in the old dinosaur yet as Dino Crisis, the famed series from a bygone era, has topped a recent Capcom poll as the franchise fans would most like to see return.
Taken from the results of Capcom’s Super Elections which began back in February and levels a series of questions at fans to answer, Dino Crisis raked in 80,769 votes to top question number five, which asked ‘’are there any Capcom game series (including spinoff games) that you would like to see get a sequel or new game?”
Of the 80,769 votes, a whopping 76,088 came from outside of Japan, and it was the top choice among male respondents, whereas it came in at seven for that of females.
Moreover, the series performed well in adjacent questions such as ‘’which of the following Capcom games do you like the best?” (coming in a number two), and funnily enough the top answer for the question ‘’is there a game that you would like to see completely remade with the latest technology, including character design and story direction?’‘ was ‘not in here’, presumably because Dino Crisis was not an option to select.
Pointedly, too, the main response to ‘’do you have a complaint you would like to share with Capcom?” was for the Japanese developer to ‘’reboot previous IPs‘’, dwarfing the second most common response nearly three times to one.
