PlayStation’s official Black Friday deals include the best prices of the year on PS5 Slim consoles, DualSense controllers, Pulse Explore earbuds, and a bunch of first-party games. We’ve rounded up the best PS5 Black Friday deals below, most of which are available at multiple retailers. End dates for the deals vary by product, but PlayStation is positioning its deals as holiday offers, so the discounts on consoles, official accessories, and PlayStation Studios games will be available beyond Black Friday, as long as they don’t sell out.
Quick look: PlayStation Holiday & Black Friday Deals
The PS5 Slim, PSVR 2, and Pulse deals are scheduled to run until December 21. PlayStation-exclusive games, with the exception of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, will be on sale until December 19. The DualSense controller deals, however, are expected to end on December 12. We’d still recommend ordering soon if you plan on buying PlayStation gear as a gift this holiday.
Once you’ve combed through the PS5 deals, be sure to hit up GameSpot’s Black Friday 2024 hub for discounts on games from other consoles, Blu-ray box sets, Lego building kits, and much more. And if you’re looking for more PlayStation games, accessories, and merch, you can check out all of Amazon’s Black Friday PlayStation deals here.
$425 (was $500)
The PS5 Slim is down to $425 for Black Friday, which is the best price we’ve seen all year. It comes with the console, a white DualSense Wireless Controller, HDMI cable, and power cord. This is the only PS5 model available today that includes a disc drive to play physical PS5 and PS4 games as well as 4K Blu-rays.
One of the big benefits of owning a PS5 with a disc drive is that you get to take advantage of more frequent, and often better, price cuts on the latest games. New releases often get discounts at major retailers well before comparable price cuts are offered on the PlayStation Store.
If you want to place your console upright on your entertainment center, PlayStation makes a Vertical Stand for $30. PlayStation Direct has deals on console covers, if you want to swap out the white plates for a more colorful look.
$425 (was $500)
PlayStation partnered with Epic Games on a Fortnite PS5 Slim holiday bundle. Priced the same as the PS5 Slim with a disc drive, the Cobalt Star Edition comes with the following in-game content for Fortnite:
- Cobalt Snowfoot Outfit (Lego Style)
- Saphhire Star Back Bling
- Indigo Inverter Pickaxe
- Weathered Snow Stripes Wrap
- Cobalt Crash Drums
- Krackle Boost (Gold Painted Style)
- Discotheque Wheels (Gold Painted Style)
- Stella Trail (Gold Painted Style)
- 1,000 V-Bucks (in-game currency)
$375 (was $500)
If you’re looking for the best value, the PS5 Slim Digital Edition is available in a $375 bundle that includes a download code for NBA 2K25. This is a great bundle even at its normal $500 price since buying both the console and the game separately at full price regularly costs $520. It probably goes without saying, but $375 is by far the best price yet for this bundle.
The caveat here is the PS5 Slim Digital does not include a disc drive, meaning you can only play digital games downloaded from PSN. There is an optional $80 PS5 Disc Drive attachment, but it’s currently sold out because of new PS5 Pro owners buying all of them, so you’ll have to wait for it to come back in stock.
$375 (was $450)
The Fortnite Cobalt Star Bundle is also available with the PS5 Slim Digital. It comes with the same in-game content as the regular Slim bundle.
$55 (was $75-$80)
While PS5 consoles come with a DualSense Wireless Controller, it’s still worth picking up an extra one while they’re on sale during Black Friday, since you’ll need at least one more to play local multiplayer. Plus, it never hurts to have a spare. A wide selection of color options are discounted by $20, dropping the price to as low as $55.
DualSense controllers haven’t received official discounts in 2024, so these deals are quite notable. PS5 controllers normally cost $75-$80, but for a limited time you can get them for $55-$60 each. The deals even include the recently released Chroma Indigo and Chroma Pearl models.

$170 (was $200)
PlayStation’s Pulse Explore Gaming Earbuds are finally on sale for a pretty solid discount. Released last holiday, PlayStation’s first gaming earbuds have maintained their $200 price point all year, but now’s your chance to save $30. They support PS5 sound features like Tempest 3D Audio and can connect to other devices via Bluetooth. The earbuds have a sleek design that matches the look of the PS5. You can grab a pair for $170 at multiple major retailers, including Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy.
$130 (was $150)
If you prefer a traditional over-ear headset, the Sony Pulse Elite Wireless PS5 Headset is on sale for 130 (was $150). While there are many great PS5 headsets out there, Sony’s first-party option is a solid mid-range choice for anyone who plays primarily on the console.
The Pulse Elite can connect to PS5, PC, and Mac using the included PlayStation Link adapter. You can also connect to mobile devices via Bluetooth while retaining your PlayStation Link connection.
$350 (was $600)
The PlayStation VR 2 is an impressive piece of tech that enables you to play VR games on PS5 or PC, but it’s a pricey add-on at full price. Luckily, the headset is discounted for Black Friday, and you can grab it in multiple versions, including a bundle with Horizon: Call of the Mountain that’s just $350 (was $600).
Considering this is a $250 discount–the best ever for the PSVR 2–we wouldn’t be surprised to see this bundle sell out at multiple retailers.
To use the headset on a VR-capable PC, you need Sony’s $60 PC adapter. The PSVR 2 now supports SteamVR, which unlocks access to thousands of games on PC.
$350 (was $550)
If the Horizon bundle sells out, the standalone headset without the game is available for $350, too. Naturally, you should make sure the Horizon bundle isn’t available before buying this, but it’s still a good value.
A bunch of first-party PS5 games are on sale at multiple online retailers, making now a great time to pick up acclaimed titles like Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, God of War: Ragnarok, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and more. All of the deals below at the very least match the best prices yet for each game, but some titles, such as FF7 Rebirth, have never been this cheap.
PS5 Exclusives
$168 (was $200)
If the Pulse Explore deal sells out, or you want a pair of gaming earbuds with active noise-canceling tech, Sony’s PC-focused Inzone Buds are on sale for $168 (was $200). Inzone Buds support all of the PS5’s audio features and connect to the console via a 2.4GHz dongle. PC gamers can customize their audio experience with the Inzone Hub Windows app. The Inzone Buds have stellar ANC, which is a major plus, but they aren’t as versatile because they only support 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth LE, which isn’t available on iPhones. You have to use the USB-C dongle on iPhone.
