Have you been curiously looking over the shoulder of your friend watching anime on their laptop or phone? Perhaps you just picked up Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero and want to find out everything you can about the anime the games are based on?

If that’s the case, then PlayStation had a good deal for you. For a limited time, PlayStation players could redeem a 60-day free trial of Crunchyroll Premium. If you didn’t already know, Crunchyroll (which is owned by PlayStation) is the streaming service to watch any anime you might be curious about.

That deal originally expired at the end of October – or it would have, if it worked at all. Those trying to redeem the offer found it wasn’t working, and it wasn’t until after the offer expired on October 29, 2024 that PlayStation spoke up.

According to an email sent to PlayStation players and a message blasted out on their consoles, “a technical issue” was preventing the offer from working properly.

“Let’s try that again,” the email’s subject line begins. It continues, “We have identified an unexpected technical issue with the previous link that caused the offer to not redeem correctly. The offer is now open until November 3 on account of the technical issue.”

So if you tried to redeem the offer, and it wasn’t working, you might want to try again now. You can watch a lot of anime in 60 days.
