Capcom Launches Survey Asking Fans If They Want More ‘Deluxe Remasters’

Published:

Following the success of Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, Capcom has distributed a survey to fans asking if they’d like to see other franchises receive similar treatment.

Would you like to see more ‘deluxe remaster’ titles like this in the future? (‘Deluxe remasters’ are defined as remasters with improved playability and updated graphics (including new 3D models).

Alternatively, the survey asks if gamers would prefer a full remake instead of a deluxe remaster, or a simple remaster boasting enhanced resolution to bring it up to modern standards. The survey also asks what franchise fans would like to see receive a deluxe remaster. These include the likes of Devil May Cry, Darkstalkers, Lost Planet, Okami, Onimusha, Power Stone, and Resident Evil. Dead Rising is also mentioned, with Capcom asking fans if they’d like to see more from the series, whether that’s a new game or deluxe remaster.

Resident Evil of course has seen huge success on the full remake front, as Capcom has released Resident Evil, Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 4 remakes over the years (the original came out in 2002 but was remastered in 2015). Furthermore, if we’re to believe recent murmurs, the company is working on remakes of Resident Evil CODE: Veronica and Resident Evil Zero.
