Borderlands 4 Cross-Platform Multiplayer Seemingly Confirmed For Launch In Early Steam Listing

Published:

The early Steam page for the freshly-announced Borderlands 4 has listing Cross-Platform Multiplayer support for Gearbox’s upcoming loot-shooter, which would make it the first entry in the popular franchise to include such a feature at launch.

That’s about all there is to go on right now, as Gearbox hasn’t announced anything about Cross-Play Multiplayer being included on release day, but we’ll keep you posted.

To be fair, there isn’t much known about Borderlands 4 in general right now, as all we’ve got is a teaser trailer that hints at a darker tone for the new game. Not that it hasn’t been teased for a while, though. Back in February, Gearbox’s Randy Pitchford said that the project it’s working on is ‘the greatest thing we’ve ever done,’ and more recently said that it’s ‘working extra hard four you on what’s next‘ in wake of poor Borderlands movie reviews.

The Borderlands franchise made its debut in 2009 and a sequel arrived in 2012. Following this, 2K released Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel two years after, and in 2019 Borderlands 3 finally arrived on the scene.
