The first ever VR Games Showcase was hosted today and it was jam-packed with announcements on what’s coming up regarding VR games, including of course games that’ll be arriving on the PlayStation VR2.
One of which is the return of a classic VR zombie shooter, with the reveal of Arizona Sunshine Remake, which’ll arrive on PS5 and PSVR2 this coming October 17, 2024.
Back in PlayStation’s first generation of VR, Arizona Sunshine was one of the more acclaimed titles on the platform. Now, with updated graphics and all of the DLC included, you can re-live wasting hundreds of zombie’s in the Arizona sun.
The reveal trailer shows off some gameplay and provides a short look at the graphical updates players can expect, and you can check out the new trailer for yourself, below.
Perhaps the best part of this announcement for fans of the franchise is that those who already own Arizona Sunshine from the original PSVR will be able to upgrade to the remake at a discounted price.
On top of the graphical upgrades, the remake also takes advantage of all the new features included in the Sense controllers, and this time around you can bring a friend along for the ride with co-op multiplayer.
Arizona Sunshine 2 released on PS VR2 last year, and immediately became a must-play title for anyone with the new generation of headset. When this remake of the first game arrives in October, players will be able to experience both of these high-quality VR shooters with all the fun and functionality of modern hardware.
