The best (S-Tier) weapons in PUBG, explained

AWM

Regarded as the deadliest weapon in all of PUBG, the AWM sniper rifle is a instant force to be reckoned with if used correctly. It can even one-shot players wearing a level three helmet. It has some downsides, however, since the AWM and its ammo can only be retrieved from the care package—but it is definitely worth the fight.

M416

The M416 is the benchmark for a balance between short and long distances in gunfights. Its rate of fire makes it really effective to defeat your enemies while moving, especially if multiple players gang up on you. It also has the most attachment slots in the game, making it easier for you to strike enemies for a longer period.

Mk14

If you are looking for an easy-to-use yet effective weapon, then the Mk14 is the one for you. Thanks to its automatic firing mode, it is the best choice for low-rank players to grind. Just remember to use it in close-to-mid range encounters to maximize its potential.

Mk12

The Mk12 is a semi-automatic gun best used to target multiple enemies all at once. It can also pierce armored vehicles, making it a great choice for solo players on account of its adaptability. It has high recoil, and its clip size is quite small compared to other guns, but when you use it correctly, the Mk12 can consistently get you in range of that coveted W.

Tommy Gun

Mobility is key. Screenshot via PUBG.com

The Tommy Gun is one of the best guns in all of PUBG when it comes to mobility. It remains stable even if you roam around a location, especially when you are facing enemies on the ground. YBest is to use Tommy Gun in close-ranged combat, since it has a high damage per second and rate of fire.

Crossbow

It may not be a gun, but the crossbow is as deadly as firing gunshots. It has a high damage output potential and can outmatch powerful guns in PUBG.

Its relative lack of sound can also be advantageous, as enemies will have a harder time tracking your location. It can be difficult to find it, however, because of its overall effectiveness, but that doesn’t make it any less of a blessing should you do so.

Lynx AMR

This weapon of mass destruction can beat up multiple enemies because of its high firing rate. The Lynx AMR also has high damage output potential, especially if you use it from a long distance. Still, it has its downsides, mainly its loudness, as it will help your enemies hone in on your current location. But as long as you know how to properly navigate the map, then the Lynx AMR can be a strong tool in your arsenal.
