Star Wars Outlaws To Feature Grand Theft Auto-Style ‘Wanted’ System

Published:

Ubisoft’s upcoming release Star Wars Outlaws is set to include a Grand Theft Auto-style ‘wanted’ system which will see an increasingly heavy-handed response based upon player actions within game’s world.

Revealed within an extensive Entertainment Weekly piece which features insight from actress Humberly González and creative director Julian Gerighty, the addition, which is in keeping with the overall heist theme of Outlaws, will make use of a six-level wanted system which will serve to punish perceived crimes against that of the Empire.

‘’Think the police in Grand Theft Auto – which has six levels of severity. If you start being seen doing crimes, that will start getting them to chase you. If you take some of them out, then it gets worse and worse, where they’ll send, at the ultimate level, Death Troopers – and maybe even worse,” revealed creative director Julian Gerighty.

We’re particularly curious about that sixth level and it’s entirely possible that we’ll hear more about how it will actually bear out during Ubisoft Forward, which is scheduled to kick off on June 10.
